Gratitude And Ponderings
1- woke up this morning
feeling a little bit disoriented
myself
or maybe i'm simply homesick
longing for my nest
and friends
2- mamacita drove herself to get
her allergy shot
3- mamacita, steve and i
went out to eat lunch
@ the mexican restaurant
4- steve went to get a massage
and some bodytalk from kay
@ Mane Productions
11o Lantana
Victoria, TX

5- i went to Hastings Bookstore
and found one of the 2 books
left on val's wishlist
& 2 Nora Roberts' books on CDs
about brides and weddings
6- steve came out of massage
completely pain free
7- i took him to park by zoo
to see river and gave him
this note i had written earlier:
DEAR! Steve- Taking this
course does not mean
I will practice Body Talk
but it and one other
similar thing I will find in
in the future will connect
me to people who are
learning to live from the
Divine within and will
further on down the road
help me to play my part
in creating Heaven on earth
Don't worry spirit says to
tell you $ in the future will
be provided as needed
just as it always has.

Gratitude And Ponderings
1- ate bland food
@ Furr's cafeteria
2- visited Dad at Texan Nursing and Rehab
with Steve and Mamacita
he rants on and on
about how he's had 13 wives
sophia's not his wife
she could be any old lady
tomorrow we could send another
old lady in
and tell him she was his wife
he demands to see his name
in the phone book
and even when we show it to him
he thinks his name
should be in the St. Albans
phone book
he wants to see the doctor
who put him in this place
he wants to go back to the hospital
and the doctor better bring his card
nothing will do but we arrange that
for him
3- mamacita, steve and i go to a used bookstore
where mamacita exchanges
some already read books
for some books yet to read
steve finds 2 books to read
and i found 2 Feehan books
on Val's wish list
4- when steve took mamacita
back for doc's visit to dad
enroute
she had a screaming meanie fit
because steve had called
dad's sister Charlotte
as she requested
I guess nobody wants to
talk with me ever
she screetched
and i don't spoze you told her
it was my idea to call
5- I've left out of my blogs
most of her screaming meanie
hissy fits
one never knows
what will set her off
but there's no need
to walk around on eggshells
because no matter what one does
sooner or later
sometimes it fells like daily
she's gonna erupt like a volcano
scorching who ever is within reach
with her acid tongue
or her tears
and moany groany songs
why don't you just hit me
/shoot me dead with a gun
6- a few nites back
steve had an aha!
about all of this
seeing clearly
how never being able
to please her
with any guarantedd stability
led him to always
trying to please others
in his life
7- back to scenario with dad
steve sketched dad's concerns
to doc
who came in with card to prove
who he was
and explained
how dad was where he was
by consensus
and that by the time
doc came back in 3 weeks
for his regular visit
to the nursing home
dad would probably
feel better oriented
he told dad we chose this place
because it's the best one in Victoria
and encouraged him to get up
and out and about
to meet people
8- after doc left
steve asked dad if he felt better
dad grunted
9- when steve was recapping
and mentioned doc's visit
dad perked up and said
yeah and how did that turn out?
as if he wasn't even there . . .
10- we shopped all over town
to find some shoes for dad
and made a grocery store run
shopping in a strange town
can be difficult
11- came home and watched part 1
of a 3 part CSI series
this one set in Miami
importing a character from
California CSI
12- i read a bit
then slept from midnite
til 1:30 a.m.
got up and read some more
i'm up to p. 333

Gratitude And Ponderings
1- it's a rainy Sunday in Victoria, TX
2- Mamacita and Steve and I went out
to eat lunch @ Montana Mike's
3- they went to visit Grandad
who upset Mamacita
when he said
He didn't think he could
pass the test to get out of
Nursing Rehab
and he didn't think they made
places like that for people
to get out of
4- i stayed home and took a nap
then visited Grandad
he said no one had visited him
all day
i reminded him Mamacita
and Steve had been there
5- Grandad said isn't it funny
how clearly you can remember
the faces from long ago
when you can't remember
things beyond Franklin
(his boyhood home)
and anything that costs
more than 10 dollars

1- started out in the wee hours
of the morning
adding up numbers
for Steve to check with calculator
so he can pay bills
2- went to eat lunch with mamacita
@ Dragon Palace
3- steve and i took Dad
for a walk outside
in the garden backyard
of Texan Nursing And Rehab
he is sitting up
in wheelchair
shuffling himself
around with his feet
disoriented
talking as if he's in Indiana
4- i bring steve home
nap for an hour
and go back
to sit with Dad
watching Oprah
on TV in the dining room
5- Sean and Gloria
come to visit Dad
i give them the brochure on Body Talk
6- after Mamacita and Steve arrive
we do a bit to get Dad settled
in his room
label his clothes, etc.
7- i come home
having finished reading

am enthralled by their charts
and connection with
chinese medicine
would love to study this
but the 1st module
costs $525
and even spread out
over monthly payments
i doubt we can pay that
3- ho-hum
either we both go back
to work
to have money to travel
and don't have time to travel
or we figure out something else
Cayce Cards may well fund
our travels in the gypsy wagon
