Journal September 30 2009
Gratitude And Ponderings
1- the gentle lap- pause- lap
of teeny tiny waves upon the shore
2- the slate gray blue
green blue
black blue out near the horizon
3- the chill cool enough
to put a sweater on
and be thankful i have
the protection
of the walls to keep
the north wind at bay
4- birds sing songs
gulls squawk their screeches
as they swoop
5- i wonder why the little sandpipers
on the shore
always remind me
of my neice
Lindsey Elizabeth
they walk with dainty, darting steps
6-steve says:
as the sun slides up the slope
of the eastern sky
the prism of water
turns turquoise
7- i stand here at the water's edge
the water is crystal clear
pale green dancing mosaics
remind me that we are
in part, affected by
the waves of energy
that surround us
be they gentle or stormy
8- each dancing patch of water
is connected to the whole
of the gulf's water
as if we each are a patch
sewn lovingly by our Great Gandmother
into the quilt of life
9- there are no state or country lines
dividing us
the fabric of the continents
is simply different
from the fabrics Great Grandmother
chooses for the fabrics
to symbolize the waters
of the world
10- we think
our patch
with its memories
of this life
is unique
and it is
11- but it is connected
sewn stitch by stitch
connecting us
to our place
and to each other
in the cosmic ocean of love
12- from Stella's card #20 Judgement
preparing to drum in the spirits
that they might bless me
the drumming is the rhythm
with the heartbeat
of Mother Earth
and will call forth
the Spirits from within
-lay myself open
to the glaring scrutiny
of the Grandfather
and pass the test
of being pure on the inside
-as a warrior
i lay aside
the desires of the flesh
to obtain
the blessings
of the spirits
-Breaking away from
conventional patterns of thought
-moving ahead
-Breaking away from old ties
-Directing energies
in a more positive direction

Gratitude and Ponderings
1- I awake to the
of the unicorn
telling the swan
yet another story
2- I swoon and surrender
to the tender
fiery passion
of intense love
consuming me
3- burning me up
until the drosses
of my personality
and ego
fall away like feathers
4- and i am the flame
of a candle's light
burning bright
5- this day is made
for a journey
i feel the winds
of Grand Adventures
licking at my soul
6- [from Stella's tarot]
Seven of Thunderbirds
The Spirit of Harmony
dances when two elders
sit in council.
The elders call forth
the spirits to guide them
(in any decisions
that need to be made
affecting the tribe
as a whole.)
Now is a time
to conserve energy
so I will be ready
when things
start to happen.

7- We stopped in Pensacola
and ate at one of our favorite restaurants
Tre Fratelli Restorante
across from Seville Square.
Then walked around the corner
to visit the Mole Hole
(a gift shop.)

8- We found luxury accomodations
at Henderson Park Inn
2700 Scenic Hwy 98
http://www.hendersonparkinn.com/
9. We visited our artist friend
Don Sawyer @ Harborwalk
http://members.cox.net/dcsawyer/index.htm
and bought one of his bright
island house paintings

10. We watched the sun set.

11. We saw the moon over
palm trees.

Greetings from Destin Fl
Steve and I are staying at Henderson Park Inn. The moonlight is
shining on the gulf water. We saw Don Sawyer and got a painting from
him and arranged for him to paint a picture of our Fish River abode. I
want him to paint the gypsy wagon in it. I have been reading from
WHITE FIRE a book about women spiritual leaders in America. I'm going
to read a bit in DWELLER ON TWO PLANETS and nod on off to sleep. I
will put my jounal entry in tomorrow when we get home.
