Woke up to blue skies
Spent the nite sleeping @ the rest stop near Belevedere, SD. Had to stop @ 3 a.m. As I was running outta gas and not finding any Gas stations open. The earth we live on is so gloriously beautiful in all her many faces. Me here from the coastal edges of the gulf and far away from the Smokey mountains where I was born has to marvel at the flat beauty surrounding me. Traveling helps me think about all of the different places one can be born into and wondering just what living life would be all about if I lived yon rather than tither.....

I am in South Dakota
I am near Burbank SD
Gonna try to drive 3 more hours
/@ least 96 miles to the next rest stop tonite.
You can listen to the concert
If you go to
http://www.theblackhillsarenotforsale.org
At the top is a way you can listen to the concert from afar
So it'll be like you are with me
I am STILL in Missouri
I just passed the exit to Brownville, Nebraska where our daughter acted in summer theater way back when she graduated from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.
Missouri seems to go on forever
The skies are gray and the temperature cool. There were snow showers last night in the Black Hills I am traveling toward today. At least the yellow flowers have not let go of their hold on summer.
Thursday morning wake-up
I just awoke from a nice nap @ Jackson, Missouri rest stop.
It is gray and cloudy here after last night's pouring rains.
I checked and there are snow showers in Piedmont South Dakota where I am headed.
Hmm... change from the days in the 90s down on the Gulf Coast in southern Alabama.
Changes in latitude..
